Make the most of the sunshine and join a friendly group of people helping local youngsters with disabilities, mental health or social problems.
Tauranga Riding for the Disabled is looking for responsible adults to assist with therapy rides and welcomes new volunteers for the spring term.
Working with other like-minded people you will help groom and prepare the horses, and will work with the children, either leading a horse or walking alongside to assist the rider.
It is sociable, fun and highly rewarding, and the stunning Welcome Bay location allows you to enjoy the outdoors whilst doing a worthwhile activity.
Programs run on Tuesday to Saturday mornings and afternoons during the term time, but even if you can only help for one of these sessions it is hugely appreciated.
Training is provided for all volunteers.
